Kathmandu, Sept 8: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav has today provided the Nepal Bidya Bhusan medals and the Nepal Chhatra Bidya medal awards to students with outstanding performance.
At a special programme organized by the Ministry of Education at Sheetal Niwas today on the occasion of the 35th National Education Day and International Literacy Day, President Yadav presented the medals and certificates to 297 students, including those completing PhD from different universities in and out of the country and those securing highest marks with outstanding performance in different levels.
On the occasion, 175 PhD holders were awarded the Nepal Bidya Bhusan Class ‘A’ medals and certificates. Similarly, Nepal Bidya Bhusan Class ‘B’ awards were presented to 62 students completing Master’s degrees and the Nepal Bidya Bhusan Class ‘C’ medals to 20 students completing the Bachelor’s degrees under different faculties. Â President Yadav provided the Nepal Chhatraa Bidya medals on 26 girl students topping the Bachelor’s Level and on 14 students topping the Certificate Level under different faculties.
At the eventÂ Vice-President Paramanand Jha, Constituent Assembly (CA) Chairman Subas Chandra Nembang, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development, Prakashman Singh, Minister for Education Chitra Lekha Yadav and high-officials of the government were present.
