Kathmandu, Oct 29,2014: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav has wished for happiness, peace and prosperity to all Nepalis living at home and abroad on the occasion of Chhath Festival.
In a message today, the President has said that festivals of different castes and communities have become the nation’s cultural identity and such festivals have helped promote mutual reconciliation and brotherhood among different castes, religions and communities, and strengthened religious tolerance and social unity.
The President, in his message, has wished for country’s sovereignty and integrity, peace and economic prosperity after the timely constitution.
“I wish that the Chhath festival becomes Nepal’s cultural identity and promotes mutual understanding, brotherhood and social goodwill,” the President said.
