Kathmandu, June 12: Private schools in Dang have decided to halt classes for three days in response to the rising mercury level in the district.

The decision was announced was announced in a joint statement signed by the presidents of PABSON and N-PABSON Dang district. The classes will be halted from Wednesday to Friday in the private schools. The statement claims the decision was made in response to the requests from the parents and guardians.

The joint statement also suggests the general public to remain indoors as much as possible and drink enough liquid. Keeping the risk of diseases including Jaundice, Diarrhea, Viral fever, Typhoid and other diseases in mind, they have also suggested to be careful about the food they eat. The temperature had reached nearly 37 degree Celsius on Tuesday.

The private schools in Tulsipur have already halted classes starting Tuesday until Friday issuing a notice on Sunday, informed Madhusudhan KC, vice president of PABSON Dang chapter who is also the coordinator of Tulsipur Sub Metropolitan City.
