Program organized on leadership development, drug addiction and SDGs


Kathmandu, May 7, 2018: A program on leadership development, drug addiction and introduction to the SDGs was organized in Nawalparasi district in the country. The program was organized at Debchuli municipality in collaboration with Jagriti Child Club, Youth for Change, Better Nawalparasi and SDG Studio.

In the program, a total of 60 youths from Debchuli Municipality were given orientation on topics including drug addiction and the measures to control it, Leadership development and SDGs. The program was facilitated by representatives from Jagriti Children and Youth concern, Youth for Change and Better Nawalparasi. The facilitators shared knowledge on their topics including present status and things to do in order to achieve the goals of creating a better society.

Speaking at the program, Shivalal Sapkota said that the youth should help in creative development and the program was organized to promote them to come up with their ideas. He also stated that the sports materials distributed shall help the youth to stay active and develop affinity towards participatory learning in the youth.

He also informed that the ward committee was working with the Municipality and concerned authorities to help rehabilitation of the youth who are into drug addiction.
