Siraha, June 19, 2015: If the agreement signed by the major political parties was not scrapped, the CPN-Maoist would stage a strong agitation, warned Vice-chairman of the CPN-Maoist CP Gajurel speaking at a programme at Lahan of Siraha district today.
He said that the 16-point agreement could not respect the spirit of the political movements at various times in the past. Further, he said that they have been holding discussion with political forces that have reservations on the 16-point agreement and they will have been working unity and announce the protest programmes. He warned of setting that the new constitution on fire if it was promulgated on the basis of the agreement.
CPN-Maoist leader Gajurel said that the four political parties have betrayed the people. He claimed that the UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has betrayed the people by signing the agreement. Also, he claimed the constitution that would be promulgated on the basis of the agreement would be regressive one and urged people to protest it.
Similarly, Leader Gajurel said that they fought people’s war for a decade against the multi-party parliamentary system. Likewise, the agreement has been signed for establishing the same system which is condemnable. The CPN-Maoist has no possibilities of party unity with the Unified CPN (Maoist).
