Kathmandu, 24th December: The government’s decision to adjust the public transport fare has been implemented effective from today.
The government decided to adjust the fare of the public vehicles by one percent, 2.07 percent for trucks and containers in the
Terai while 2.73 percent in the hills a week ago following the pressure from various quarters after the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) decreased the price of petroleum products effective December 19. The NOC adjusted the diesel price and decreased it by Rs. 13 per litre in the last four months.
The government has decided to implement the decision effective from today after holding discussion with the transport entrepreneurs concerned.
