QFX Cinemas to release Korean Movies in Nepal

Kathmandu, June 6, 2016: QFX, a major multiplex chain in Nepal, is planning to release South Korean movies on regular basis soon.  The multiplex has eyed for South Korean movies after Bollywood and Hollywood.

Nakkim Uddin, Founder of QFX Cinemas, said that they will release Korean movies for a certain period of time as an experiment. “We are preparing for it and audiences will able to watch a Korean movie in a similar way as other movies very soon,” Said Uddhin talking about the plan.

Audiences will able to watch these movies in the English subtitle. Previously, a group had already released Korean movies in a single theater, but couldn’t run for more than a week. “We are planning to release movies through business perspectives,” he said. “In this category of movies, we want to attract specific groups of audiences’.

When it comes to movies, almost every noted film industry takes inspiration from South Korea. Be it a sit-com, drama or horror, no other industry has brains as quirky or as twisted to come up with the ideas that they can and have.

In Nepal, Korean movies are sold on DVDs and home theater systems. Youngsters in different cities in Nepal have craze towards Korean movies and opera soaps.
