Quora Community Nepal Meetup 2018: A positive initiation for Nepali Startups and Quora Community

Kathmandu, January 28, 2018:  With the motive of bringing Nepal’s finest ideas, innovative startups, spirited entrepreneurs and engaging Quorans of the Quora community, Quora Nepal has successfully concluded its event ‘Quora Community Nepal Meetup’. The event held at Patan museum on 27 January invited an engaging conversation between startup founders and the participants.

The third edition of Quora Community Nepal Meetup, marked the presence of pioneer startups of the country. Anil Basnet, the Co-founder and CEO of Metrotarkari; Rohit Tiwari, co-founder and CEO of Foodmario; Sandesh Poudyal, the Co-founder and CFO of Creative Services Nepal and Sixit Bhatta, the Co-founder and CEO of Tootle Today marked their presence in the meetup.

The vibrancy of the startup founders reflected in the communicative skills they forecasted. All of these influential personas talked about their entrepreneurial journey. They conversed about the insightful participation of youths in the entrepreneurial ambience of the country and the prospects lying in the enterprises of Nepal.

Anil Basnet, the founder of Metrotarkari asserted, “I had a busy schedule at work. Late night my mother used to ask me to bring vegetables. This was a very grueling task as late night I found no vendors selling vegetables. This daily problem instigated me to initiate Metrotarkari. Through the online platform of Metrotarkari, I am bringing out a concept of easing the groceries problems.”

Sandesh Poudyal’s story on introducing Creative Services Nepal was a very creative and inspiring detail. He asserted that the reason behind the establishment of Creative Services Nepal was to bring out a technology that could provide affordable earthquake resistant houses. He mentioned, “I really wanted to help people through the relief materials during the earthquake of 2072. I vividly recall that the construction works that were going on could not prove to be conducive enough to the people. So, I decided to introduce Creative Services Nepal.”

The co-founder and CEO of Tootle Today, Sixit Bhatta, mentioned about his startup, Tootle Today. He opined on his enterprise’s notion of effective and affordable transportation. Tootle Today is solving the urban transportation problem by letting people to hire bikes for a ride.

Rohit Tiwari voiced on Foodmario’s innovation in the entrepreneurial ambience of Nepal. His startup, Foodmario is a peculiar online platform that connects homecooks with its customers. He opined on the entrepreneurial journey he has instigated till date.

Answering the query raised by Glocal Khabar on the further extension of women empowerment chain by Foodmario, Rohit Tiwari, mentioned the near launch of Foodmario’s app would further widen the horizon of this initiation. “Our user-friendly app wills to reach every people. Through the reach we intend to further instigate our chain of empowerment. So, we are working on the app betterment.”

Quora Meetup is an informal meetup that bridges people of Quora community and invites their discussions and suggestions.
