Kathmandu, Aug. 23: Speaking at an interaction programme organized by Radio Nepal here today, speakers pointed out the importance of Radio Nepal for disseminating news on the basis of accuracy and balance even in the critical hour since the earthquake struck on April 25.
Acting secretary at the Ministry of Information and Communications Ram Chandra Dhakal praised the role of Radio Nepal for its notable contribution in disseminating the news in critical hour as well as its important roles in transforming conflict into peace. He suggested making the programmes more effective and goal oriented in the days ahead.
Acting Executive Director at Radio Nepal Dhanendra Bimal Chhetri pointed out the need of making Radio Nepal’s programmes more effective to preserve its glorious history.
The regional chiefs of the Radio Nepal are participating in the interaction programmes. Radio Nepal is disseminated news in 21 different languages presently.
