Radio Nepal’s Krishna Tamrakar and Ratopati’s Rajkumar Sigdel honored with ‘Tourism Journo of the Year’ award

Promoting quality tourism journalism in Nepal

Kathmandu, August 30, 2017: Radio Nepal’s senior journalist Krishna Tamrakar and Ratopati Online’s reporter Rajkumar Sigdel have been felicitated with ‘Tourism Journalist of the Year’ award.

Minister for Information and Communication Mohan Bahadur Basnet handed over them with the award amidst a special ceremony organized in Kathmandu today. The awards include certificate of felicitation and a purse of Rs. 10,000 each.

They were honored on the occasion of fourth anniversary of National Tourism Journalist Association (NATOJ), for their contribution in tourism journalism of Nepal.

Various other tourism entrepreneurs and personalities working in the tourism sector were also honored on the occasion.

“The main objective of NATOJ is uplifting tourism industry of Nepal by promoting the good aspects of the industry and improvising the flaws and weaknesses of the industry,” shared NATOJ Chairman Shiva Adhikari. He further shared how the association is relentlessly working to promote quality tourism journalism in Nepal.
