Rainfall across the country due to Westerly wind and vapour from Arab Sea

Kathmandu, March 30, 2015: Most parts of country have been suffering from rainfall from this morning that is the result the westerly wind and vapour-filled wind from the Arab Sea.

According to Samir Shrestha, Meteorologist at the Meteorological Forecasting Division,” this rainfall is the result of the wind from Arab Sea containing vapour and some local factors.”

Shrestha also stated RSS that the rainfall may be the factor for snowfall in upper parts of the country as well as lightening in some other areas of the country.

Moreover meteorologist Shrestha added that weather is hoped to be clear from Tuesday evening because the westerly wind is slowly blowing towards the eastern side.

The rain has been pouring from this morning in various places in the western part of the country. However, Kathmandu and some places in the eastern part are getting the rain this afternoon, as stated by Meteorological Forecasting Division.
