Record Consumer Sentiment resulting high sales give more boost to American Economy

Dec 13 2014:   A survey conducted by The Thomson Reuters and University of Michigan revealed the U.S. consumer sentiment at record high since 2006. Preliminary findings suggest consumer sentiment index to score 93.8 for December, outperforming the consensus estimate of 89.5 reported by Reuters based on reviews of 70 economists. In November, final number came in at 88.8.

December index also marks fifth consecutive month of uptick in consumer sentiment levels, which is another sign of improving consumer confidence in the overall U.S. economy. The survey’s barometer measuring sentiment about current economic conditions was 105.7, representing the highest level since February 2007.
