RELIEF FROM UML FOR VICTIMS OF FLOOD

Bardiya, Sept 9: The CPN (UML) on Tuesday handed over Rs. 10 million as support to the victims of flood in the district. UML General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel handed over the money to District Natural Disaster Relief Committee Bardiya Coordinator and Chief District Officer Tej Prasad Poudel amidst a function held by UML Gulariya.

 The UML General Secretary said that the party activists outside the country and within Nepal collected the money for the people affected by floods that occurred on August 14 and 15. On the occasion, Pokharel stressed on the need to rehabilitate the displaced people and give them relief and compensation. “We will work with the government to create a policy so as to address the issues of providing security and management of the people that have been displaced by natural disaster,” he said.
