Kathmandu,14 Dec 2014: The fourth largest party in the Constituent Assembly (CA)— Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal today expressed concern over the alleged attempts of the major political parties to isolate it from the constitution making process.

RPPN Chairman Kamal Thapa called on Prime Minister Sushil Koirala at latter’s official residence at Baluwatar to convey the party’s grievances.

On the occasion, PM Koirala responded saying it should not have been the case. The two leaders also discussed constitution making.

PM Koirala emphasized on delivering the new constitution on the stipulated date through a consensus as far as applicable otherwise opt for the voting process, Thapa informed journalists following the meet.

In the meeting, RPPN Chair also handed over a memorandum calling for marking Poush 27 as the day of Prithvi Jayanti and depicting the portrait of Prithvi Narayan Shah on the face of the Nepali currency note.

Chair Thapa also drew the attention of the Prime Minister towards the recent public remarks made by British ambassador Andrew J Sparkes who had called for securing the right to change the religion and right to proselytize others in the constitution.

PM Koirala responded saying he would acquire official information on the matter from the Foreign Ministry.
