Kathmandu, 10 March, 2015 : The casino workers, who have been in protest for the last 18 months, have demanded reinstatement to their earlier positions.
The Casino Shangrila Workers’ Struggle Committee organized a press conference here today and demanded their reinstatement, claiming that the Casino run under the management of Star Management Private Limited has sacked them for no reason.
Coordinator of the Committee Bhuminanda Amgai said the Casino Company expelled 462 workers with the help of police administration against the Labour Act-2048, citing the company was making huge loss. The Company later hired fresh 300 staffs and has been running the business.
The casino workers associated themselves in the committee and warned of stern phase-wise protest if the management of the company remained indifferent to their demand.
