Kathmandu, June 16, 2015: If identity-based federalism is not included in the new constitution as per the previous agreement the Sadbhawana Party has said to be out from the Constituent Assembly.
Party chairman Rajendra Mahato said at a news conference organised by the party here today that it would not be acceptable to them if the new constitution is promulgated by keeping the naming and demarcating of the provinces aside. He also said that on June 8 as betrayal the party has taken the 16-point agreement signed among four major political parties.
Chairman Mahato blamed that conspiracy has been hatched in the name of federalism stating that the agreement was against the spirit of Nepali people and the Interim Constitution.He further said that if the demands are not addressed they would fight till the last hour for federalism, otherwise they would fulfill their demands through street agitation.
Similarly, in order to organised an interaction programmes in 20 districts from eastern Jhapa to Kanchanpur on June 22 and 23 the party is going to launch a campaign for federal constitution along with demarcation.
