Kathmandu, October 31, 2017: Saman Shrestha has been crowned the first ever Himalaya Roadies, defeating Animesh Shahi at the exciting Grand Finale of the three-months-long reality TV show.
With this victory, Saman has bagged the cash prize of Rs 880,000, an iPhone 6s, a Bajaj Avenger bike and air tickets to any destination that Silk Air operates on.
The finale was held at the scenic Lakuri Bhanjyang on the outskirts of the valley and saw a guest appearance by Rannvijay Singh—an Indian TV host and the first ever MTV Roadie (the Indian counterpart of the Himalaya Roadie).
Himalaya Roadies: Rising through Hell, was an 18-episode long franchise of the popular Indian game show MTV Roadies and was aired every Monday at 8 PM on Himalaya TV. The series garnered massive attention from the youths in Nepal and was one of the most watched TV show among youth here.
Actress Deeya Maskey, youth sensation Ashish Rana aka Laure, and media personality Raymon Das Shrestha were the judges for the show.
