Samjhautha Express Culprit Swami Aseemanand got Bail: Govt.

15 August, 2015: Swami Aseemanand who was found guilty in the bombing attack on Samjhautha expresses got bailed. Terrorist attack that occurred on 18 February 2007 at Panipat in which 68 people died, and more than 50 people got injured.

It was found that most of the people died were Pakistani civilians. This attack took place just before Pakistani foreign minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri was arriving at New Delhi to resume peace talk. Officials from both the countries condemned the attack by the criminals, so that they can disrupt the improving relation between both the nations. Some allegations were put on Lashkar-e-Taiba and Abhinav Bharat, a Hindu fundamentalist group in India, having link with the attacks. Both the nation government started pointing out each other for the attack and not having proper investigations of them.

On December 30, 2010 some strong evidences were found by the National Investigation Agency against Swami Aseemanand. He got accused for being the mastermind behind the blasts. Later he confessed about the accusation put on him. Charge sheet was filed against him on June 20, 2011. Indian high court later issued stay notice to the NIA for torturing and coerced Aseeman and in jail.

Because of lack of evidences against Aseemanand high court provided him bail against Samjhautha express blast case. NIA members refuse to oppose the bail granted to Aseemanand as they don’t found any more evidence against him yet.
