Kathmandu, March 7, 2019: Star legspinner Sandeep Lamichhane was announced as the Cricketer of the year at the NCCS CPAN cricketer award on March 5, 2019.

Andeep Lamichhane who was able to make the international headings after picked by the Indian premier league and other tournaments across the world was declared as the winner before Paras Khadka, Sompal Kami, Dipendra Singh Aire, and Karan KC.

In the absence of Lamichhane, paras received the award on behalf of Sandeep Lamichhane and thanked sponsors and donors. Lamichhene was able to score 84 wickets from 32 matches for the national team within the one year period of time.

Likewise, Sita Rana Magar was declared as the women cricketer of the year. She scored 138 runs and took 4 wickets in 2 matches. She even managed to beat national team skipper Rubina Chhetri Belbashi, Karuna Bhandari, Sarita Magar, and Indu Barma.

The first edition of the Award was organized by Cricket Players Association Nepal under the sponsorship of Nepal College of Computer Science. Former National Team Skipper LB Chhetri handed over his Autobiography Captain 1998 to the current captain Paras Khadka. While Paras Khadka gifted bat signed by national teams to NCCS.
