Sandeep Lamichhane honored Youth Icon with 1 lac cash: Taekwando fame Ayesha Shakya honored Special Award

Kathmandu, February 10, 2020: KATHMANDU YOUTH CONCLAVE (KYC) 2020 was ended successfully on Friday, 7 February at Pragya Pratisthan, Kathmandu.

Highlights of KTM YOUTH CONCLAVE (KYC) 2020 Main Event:

  • Lamichhane awarded KYC2020 Youth Icon by Minister of Youth and Sports Jagat Bahadur Sunar
  • Shakya honoured by Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation YogeshBhattarai
  • 3000 + youths participated, with 150+ participation from 10 different cities of Nepal.

Cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane will be honoured KYC 2020 Youth Icon at KTM YOUTH CONCLAVE (KYC) 2020 main event with a cash prize of one lakh rupees. Hon’ble Minister of Youth and Sports Jagat Bahadur Sunar conferred the honour to him. Alongside, National Taekwando player Ayasha Shakya too was honoured at the program by Hon’ble Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai.

A total of over 3,000 youths from including those from 10 different cities participated at KTM YOUTH CONCLAVE (KYC) 2020 in Kathmandu. It was one of the largest congregation of youths (especially, but not limited to, students from +2 level and beyond) and leadership forum created by a group of colleges. The event was organized jointly by Universal College, Kathmandu Model College, Apollo International College, New Summit College and Himalaya College of Engineering.

The outcomes of the program were to encourage youths in the right career path, engage them in social activities, promote startup ventures, encourage them to seek change in the education system and to control brain drain.

The motivational speakers at the program included Hon’ble Jagat Bahadur Sunuwar (Minister of Youth and Sports), Hon’ble Yogesh Bhattarai (Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation), Anil Keshari Shah (Banker), Sandeep Lamichhane (Cricketer), Nischal Basnet (Director and Actor), Pradip Pandey (MD, Bottlers Nepal Limited), Ayasha Shakya (National Player, Taekwando), Nakim Uddin (Director, Team Quest), Samriddhi Rai (singer and songwriter), Almoda Rana Uprety (singer and music composer). Other attractions included musical performances, dance performances, food-stalls, game zones, performances by students from the participating institutions etc.).

The conclave was organized with the co-ordination of many partners.
