Sapkota Wins Smriti Youth Award


Baglung, Aug. 27: Litterateur Bishnuprawa Sapkota has been awarded with this year’s Smriti Youth Award. The Smriti Publication, Baglung, honoured Sapkota of Baglung district with the award for his contribution in promoting Nepali language and literature. Publication Chairman, Kaji Roshan, said that the award was presented on the occasion of Moti Jayanti. The Publication has been honouring youth active in literature sector on the occasion of Moti Jayanti every year. Sapkota worked as the editor of different literary magazines including Rumani. He teaches English literature at different campuses in Kathmandu. Meanwhile, a poetry seminar was organised in the district to observe the 149th Moti Jayanti. On the occasion, more than two dozens of litterateurs recited poems. Honoured Sapkota said that the award has made him more responsible.
