Saptari, October 3 2105: Bhardaha Hospital in Bhardaha of Saptari district has been facing shortage of medicine due to continuous banda (shutdown) called by the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF).

The hospital has run out of stock of different types of medicine and injection as well as oxygen cylinders, said hospital owner Dharmendra Khadka. Some 150 patients visit the hospital every day, according to the hospital.
Similarly, the stock of essential drugs is also running out at the Rajbiraj-based Gajendra Narayan Singh Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital.

Dr Lal Kishor Singh of the Zonal Hospital said that the hospital has been facing shortage of medicine after stock of the medicines was finished due to the banda for the past 50 days. Likewise, Rajbiraj-based medicals are also facing medicine shortage.
