SCHOOLS SHUT FOR DEFICIT STUDENT NUMBER

Khotang, Aug 30:In Khotang district three school have been shut due to deficit number of students.

Balkanya Primary at Talkharka in district headquarters, Diktel, Ramchadevi Primary, at Saunechaur and Janata Primary at Mahure of Nunthala are the school which are closed down.

According to School Inspector at Khotang District Education Office, Yadu Bikram Thapa, the schools have been shut down with gradual decline of student number every year.

Meanwhile, four schools based in the district have been integrated. Kubhinde-based Janata Primary has been merged into Kalika Primary Kubhinde, Tribhuvan Primary of Aiselukharka into Tribhuvan Higher Secondary, Bouddha Primary, Rakhabangdel into Agen Sangka Bouddha Gumba Primary and Nepal Balmandir of Khotang into Bhagawati Higher Secondary.

“Now the schools are in smooth operation after merger”, said the district education office.
