Kathmandu, September 18, 2018: Second Province Level Nepal Girls Summit- 2018 is going to be held on Ashoj 5 and 6 at Devchuli Municipality of Nawalparasi. The conference stands against child marriage, dowry, women violence, and for child education. The province conference is for province no. 4 and 5 which includes 500 girls representing 23 districts.
More than 13 lakhs Girls of age 10-19 are at the risk of child marriage, whereas 24.5% of girls are of age 15 to 19 are already married, 48.5 percent of women of age 20-49 years were married before 18, the rate of violence and sexual molestation, as well as rape cases, are increasing in Nepal. Looking at the statistics, the teen leaders, National, state and local level representatives, civil society, communications personnel, and affiliate bodies will be taking part in the summit for the mitigation of the issues.
The report which includes conclusion and suggestions gathered in the summit is planned to be presented in Kathmandu at the Nation level Nepal Girls Summit 2018. The event sis organized by Girls Kick.
