Kathmandu, Nov 25: In view of the security to the heads of the State, and of the governments coming from the SAARC nations to attend the 18th SAARC Summit, the security situation has been beefed up in the capital city today.

The government has mobilized 28,000 security persons under the unified security system considering the SAARC Summit. The system comprises Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police and National Investigation Department.

They are mobilized in aerial inspection, road patrol and in plain clothes too.

The security persons are mobilized massively along the route from Tribhuvan International Airport to Soaltee Hotel in view of the arrival of the heads of the States and of the governments from SAARC nations today. Security vehicles are stationed at every intersection in the capital city.

Similarly, new parking lots are managed for the public vehicles to reduce the traffic congestion. Since yesterday, the odd and even number (vehicle number plate) option is given for the transport entrepreneurs for operating vehicles.

A special pass has also been issued for the private and public vehicles used for the SAARC Summit.
