Kathmandu,20th Janaury, 2015 :Â Senior leader of the CPN (UML) and former prime minister Jhalanath Khanal has accused the main opposition UCPN (Maoist) of intending to murder the Constituent Assembly (CA).
Talking to media persons after emerging out from the CA meeting venue when oppositions were picketing the rostrum on Tuesday, senior leader Khanal said it would be the killing of CA if it was prevented from delivering the new constitution.

“A two-thirds majority in the CA is committed towards the promulgation of a new constitution,” he said, referring to the Nepali Congress and UML. The former Prime Minister argued that the performance of the UCPN (Maoist) was hampering constitution-drafting and tarnishing democracy.
The majority in the CA would soon initiate a process for resuming the constitution-making, seeking alternative to January 22, the deadline to deliver the constitution, he added.
