SEPTUAGENARIAN DONATES LAND TO AGRICULTURE SERVICE CENTER

Bajhang, Sept. 16: A septuagenarian here has donated a land worth Rs 5 million to the Agriculture Service Centre of Jhota.

Krishna Bahadur Singh, 77, from Bhairabnath-2 of the district donated the land belonging to him.

The office of the Centre was taking a house in rent for 15 years. After the donation of the land, the District Agriculture development Office, honoured Singh offering him a shawl at a programme on Monday.

At the programme, Agriculture Development Officer, said the donation has not only benefited the Centre but also helped t the Centre to promote farmers’ interest and developments. “We are tired of living in rent. Now, well’s have the office on our ownership,” he expressed happiness.

The Agriculture Service Centre ha been providing service to the farmers from various 11 VDCs in the district. There is one Agriculture Development Officer, four agricultural technicians and two office assistants.

Generous Singh said he involved in agriculture throughout his life and was willing to serve and promote agriculture sector.

The District Agriculture Development Office, Bajhang, has four agriculture service centres in the district.
