Rukum, Sept 4: Local telecom service-recipients have been hit hard for no maintenance of GSM mobile phone tower which had gone dysfunctional a year back.
The tower is nearby the premises of District Development Committee based in district headquarters Khalanga.
The mobile users of VDCs including Khalanga, Bhalakcha, Rungha, Chhiwang, Peugha and Muru are facing problem in phone communication as the defunct tower has not been repaired yet.
The service seekers are venting their ire at authorities for sheer negligence in repairing the tower. “We are in problem due to no smooth communication as the authorities concerned are showing deaf ear to the urgency of tower maintenance”, said Prabir Oli of Chhiwang-2.
However, the Nepal Telecom Rukum Branch said reason behind the technical snag in tower is yet to be identified.
