Seven Arrested For Selling Relief Material


Banepa, June 10, 2015: On the charge of selling relief material meant for the earthquake survivors Seven people have been arrested by police.

According to the DSP at the District Police Office in Kavre Raj Kumar KC, the culprits were arrested from the remote Chaubas in Koshipari VDC. Among them some were not found involved it in and are being released. Further investigation into the incident is underway and the matter will be finalized later today.

Those who were arrested are Guna Prasad and Krishna Prasad Chaulagain of Gothapani-9, Indra Lama, Punju Sharma of Dhuseni Shivalaya, driver Prakash Tamang, Surya Bahadur Lama and his son Bijaya of Chubas-7.
As per the Chief District Officer of Kavre Sudarshan Dhakal, Rice and bitten rice brought as relief support were found in two in  in Chaubas. Like wise he added,  strict action would be taken against those found indulged in it.
