Shivaram Shrestha clinches Pilot Golfers NPGA Classic


Kathmandu: Mr.Shivaram Shrestha claimed the 46th career title and won the Pilot Golfers NPGA Classic Golf tournament at Royal Nepal Golf Club.

Shrestha carded three-under 65 in the third and final round to post 12-under 196 for a three-stroke victory over Sukra Bahadur Rai for his second title of the season. Shrestha received a cheque of Rs 90,000, while Sukra received Rs 60,000 respectively.

The Nepal No 1, professional golfer, Bhuwan Nagarkoti and Dinesh Prajapati shared the fourth position at four-under 204 after both the pros carded one-under 67 each and received Rs 33,000 each.

Similarly, Rabi Khadka and Rame Magar shared the eighth position at 206 after both pros played even-par 68 and earned Rs 23,500 each. Also, Jayaram Shrestha and Sanjay Lama earned Rs 19,000 each and shared the eighth position at one-under 207.

In all, 45 golfers, 37 pros and eight amateurs took part in the fourth event under the Surya Nepal Golf Tour 2019-20. The tournament, which carried a cash purse of Rs 500,000.
