Bhaktapur, Aug 13: A Shreemadbhagawat Mahayagya is going to be organised on the bank of Godavari River to construct Dwarikapuri Divyadham and Cow Protection Centre (Gaushala).
At a news conference organised by Dwarikapuri Divyadham and Cow Protection Centre at Balkot in Bhaktapur on Tuesday, Centre advisor Dhruba Narayan Shrestha said that although the Goshala should be constructed by the government, the centre is to be constructed at local level after the government did not pay attention on it.
The Centre is going to organise the Mahayagya from September 8-24 for the same, it is learnt.
Shrestha said that they are going to initiate cow protection campaign with an objective of protection and conservation of stray cows that wander the streets due to various reasons by constructing Goshala in Bhaktapur within next five years.
On the occasion, Centre Chairman Bhola Prasad Timalsina said that they are going to construct Goshala for the conservation of Hindu religion and conservation of stray cows and calves.
Arbinda Shastri, Patron of the Centre, who will recite story at the Mahayagya, said that the Divyadham and Cow Protection centre is to be constructed to protect and conserve the stray cows, not to make income by selling their milk.
The Mahayagya, started from Balkot, will be organised in all 75 districts, it is learnt.
