June 27, 2015: Young and energetic Mira Rai, a girl from tiny hilltop village in eastern Nepal who took part in Marathon Mont Blanc ( 80k-Skyrunning) in France has won the title.
Mira ran for 12 hours and grabbed the title on her hand. More than 30 nations were participate unlike the previous Championships, dominated by Italy, Spain and France, “new†skyrunning nations like Australia and New Zealand, Czech Republic, Japan, Poland, South Africa and USA showed their talent and make their mark in Chamonix.
Mira burst onto the scene in 2014 with victory at the Mustang Trail Race.Recent results of Mira are 3rd at Buffalo Stampede, 1st at MSIG HK50 and MSIG Lantau 50. And now she adds the title of Sky-running World Champion.
