Kathmandu, October 10, 2018: The 14th Hospitality India and Explore the World Annual International Travel Awards has awarded Soaltee Westend Premier Nepalgunj as the ‘Best Debut Green Hotel’.
The award program took place in New Delhi where the Chairman of Soaltee Westend Premier, Mr Dinesh Bahadur Bista received the award. The Union Minister of State for Tourism KJ Alphons, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale, together with the CEO of Nepal Tourism Board, Deepak Raj Joshi presented the award.
Soaltee Crowne Plaza of Kathmandu is well recognized for starting high-end tourism in Nepal since 1960 and now has started Nepal’s most state-of-the-art eco-friendly hotel. Certified by the US Green Building Council, Soaltee Westend Premier Nepalgunj is the first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver Category hotel in Nepal.
The hotel has been managing it’s eco-friendly energy saving concepts by using insulation, temperature calibration, elevators with regen-technology and installation of several plants to reduce its carbon footprint.
