Some 32 tolas of gold, 70 kilogrammes silver, and Rs.5.2 million confiscated

Itahari, July 28: Police have confiscated 70 kgs of silver, 32 tolas of gold and Rs. 5.2 million in cash kept hidden at a house in Dharan Municipality-4.

Acting on a tip-off, police arrested the house owner Dipak Agrawal in connection to the incident two days ago. Agrawal was made him public amidst the media persons today. Dipak also owns the Mahesh Plastic Industry.  Meanwhile, Dipak claimed during the police investigation that he was unaware about the confiscated goods and blamed it on Sunil Agrawal, a relative of his wife.

Sunil is the Chairman of Gold and Silver Entrepreneurs’ Association, Sunsari, and owner of DS Bullion Centre in Dharan.

According to a family source, Sunil is presently in India in course of his relatives’ treatment.
