SOS hands over School in Dolakha


Kathmandu, May 4, 2018: SOS Nepal has handed over a new school building to the school management committee in Lakuridada,Dolakha that lost its previous building to the 2015 earthquake. The newly constructed school building was handed over by Rabindra Adikari, Minsiter for Tourism and Aviation of Nepal and Siddharth Kaul, President of International SOS.

The school has received a computer lab, library, furniture and other study materials. The press statement released by SOS Nepal also stated that three houses were also handed over to the respective families whose houses were damaged by the same earthquake. A total of 103 residential buildings and a community hall are under construction and will be handed over to the respective owners once completed.

Previously, SOS had constructed a total of 177 houses for victims of the earthquake at Indrawati Rural Municipality in Sindhupalchok district. It is also involved through a total of 44 different programs to help the Nepali people in 13 districts of the country, stated the press release.
