Bhimduttanagar, December 4, 2015: A highly advanced sugar mill has brought into operation in Kanchanpur district from Thursday.
The Kailali Chamber of Commerce chair Shankar Bogati has set up the mill at Punarbas Municipality-13 in the district at a total cost of Rs 2.5 billion, it is learnt.
The mill has the capacity of producing 20,000 quintal of sugar daily.
Similarly, the mill is expected to generate employment to about 700 workers.
The district is taken as the pocket area for sugarcane farming.
