Summer Love to be adapted into film

Kathmandu, March 21, 2017: Author Subin Bhattarai’s bestselling novel Summer Love is now being adapted into a movie, it was announced amid a press meet held in the Capital on March 19.

The screenplay of the movie is written by journalist Samipya Raj Timalsina, and will be directed by Muskan Dhakal.

Bhattarai’s 2012 novel Summer Love struck a chord among the young-adult audiences, and the producers claim the movie will repeat the success tasted by the novel.

Filmed under the banner of Nightingale Entertainment, the film features debutante actors Rewati Chhetri and Ashish Piya in the lead roles. Summer Love the film will feature score by Pushpan Pradhan. The film’s dialogues have been co-written by author Bhattarai and screenwriter Timalsina.

The movie will be shot at different locations around Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dhangadi. The shooting is slated to start from the second week of Baishakh.
