Kathmandu, December 30, 2018: Supercomputer is installed at Kathmandu University IT Park. The computer is expected to be used in the field of handling database and research.
The IT Park have 184 computers, 16 storage servers and 12 high speed switches. According to Dr. Rajendra Prasad Adhikari, assistant professor of Physics at the KU, the supercomputer can perform calculations from a few thousand to several hundred thousand times faster than an ordinary personal computer depending on the size and capacity.
