Kathmandu, Sept. 3: The ongoing talks between Investment Board of Nepal and Indian promoter company, GMR has been postponed, after a need was felt to hold further discussion on matters relating to irrigation and tax exemption.
Talks had been underway for the past two days with the objective of signing the Project Development Agreement (PDA) of Upper Karnali Hydel Project.
The talks were postponed for the moment as the matter relating to irrigation had to be discussed with the Ministry of Irrigation and because the issue of taxation is yet to be finalized in course of deliberations on the budget for current fiscal year in the legislature-parliament, according to an official of IBN.
