Kathmandu, December 13, 2016:Â Sipradi Trading, authorised distributer of Tata Motors, has been organising a social campaign titled â€” â€˜Test Drive for Education,â€™ the first of its kind in the country. It has been taking place in some 10 schools within the Kathmandu valley namely Graded English Medium School, Little Angelâ€™s School, Paragon Public School, EPS School, ACE School, Apex Life School, V.S Niketan School, Joshep School, Progressive School and Akshara School since September 10.
Under the campaign, the company is providing the latest models of the brand (Tiago, Bolt and Zest) for test drive targeting parents/guardians of students of these schools. Sipradi plans to donate Rs 500 to each school for conducting each test drive. The amount received by these schools from the company will be utilised for scholastic purposes or upgrading their facility infrastructure.
â€œSipradi believes this campaign also serves as a rare model that effectively aligns business priorities with social responsibilities,â€ said Rajan Babu Shrestha, CEO of Sipradi, adding, â€œAs the name suggests, the campaign is primarily designed to help expedite the growth of education sector.â€Â According to Prabin Khatiwada, General Manager, Sipradi Trading, the campaign has drawn as many as 8,244 parents so far in the test drive. â€œWe are hopeful to meet our target of attracting altogether 10,000 participants in the test drive within three months,â€ he added.
â€œAlmost all the participating parents have given overwhelmingly positive feedback to us,â€ shared Khatiwada, adding that they continue to receive a large number of inquiries from enthusiastic parents about the campaign. â€œRemarkably, some parents are so positive about the campaign that they are even showing readiness to make financial contributions to the social cause,â€ he added.
