Bhaktapur,  13 December  2015: Education Minister Giriraj Mani Pokharel today said that multi technical education that is linked with skills and employment should be expanded to lead the country towards prosperity.
Speaking at three-day 23rd review seminar of the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) at Santothimi, Minister Pokharel urged CTEVT employees to develop a sense of responsibility when it comes to their profession, regardless of the tendency to work just to appease ministers.
Likewise on the occasion, Secretary at the Ministry Bishwo Prakash Pandit said that income of people aspiring to go abroad for employment could be doubled if they are provided with technical education at home beforehand.
Likewise, CTEVT Vice Chairman Kul Bahadur Basnet stressed the need for the government to pay heed towards expanding technical education across the country through CTEVT.
On the occastion, Ram Hari Lamichhane, member-secretary of the CTEVT, said that various CTEVT-affiliated education institutions established some seven years ago are yet to come in operation for want of various positions and budget.
At the event, Dibat Kumar Shrestha, chief of CTEVT technical division, said the seminar focus on the evaluation of CTEVT’s annual works and that future programmes and opportunities for CTEVT would be set. RSS
