April 5 , 2015: The 17 year-old Siobhan O’Dell from North Carolina wrote a bold response rejecting a rejection letter from Duke University.
Addressing to Duke University Admission, Siobhan writes, “Thank you for your rejection letter of March 26, 2015. After careful consideration, I regret to inform you that I am unable to accept your refusal to offer me admission into the Fall 2015 freshman class at Duke.”
According to the source, Siobhan said that she aimed to give colleges the taste of their own medicine.
The letter by teenager Siobhan has been viral since it was posted on Tumlbr three days ago.More than 100,000 reblogs were streamed after posted screen shot of her email on Tumblr. As this is the time where applicants are awaiting acceptance or rejection letters form universities, the rejection letter written to Duke by Siobhan seems to resonate.
