Kathmandu, December 7, 2018: The finalists of Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero 2018 conducted an experience sharing session, ‘Inspire Pokhara’ at Junior Citizens’ Academy on December 6, 2018. The winner of Glocal Teen Hero 2018, Prashansha KC along with other finalists: Sudarshan Subedi, Bikalpa Dhungana, Deepshikha Ghimire, and Saugat Tiwari shared their inspiring stories as a social change maker in the session.
The motive of the event was to create the awareness among the students regarding the active roles of youths to uproot the malpractices of the society and assist in the expected developmental process of the country. It was attended by almost 100 students of the school.
As a social activist and a youtuber, Prashansha shared the story about her involvement in social works and highlighted the different aspects of Videography. She also mentioned the effects of child and kidnapped marriages and urged students to help in the elimination of such social problems. Likewise, the young writer, Deepshika talked about her book, ‘ Mero Gyan Mandir’, a poetry collection which she wrote at the age of 13. She also shared her knowledge about the writing skills and the guideline for its enhancement.
On the other hand, the teenage entrepreneur, Saugat expressed his insights on the role of youths in the development of entrepreneurship of Nepal. In the same way, Bikalpa, an inventor, conveyed the importance of science and technology for the nation to prosper whereas Sudarshan, the ecopreneur articulated the importance of understanding one’s strength and using it to make the life meaningful.
