Kathmandu, July 12, 2016: Kathmandu Metropolitan City Office (KMC) is all set to build a park in Tinkune that will cost Rs.1 billion 23 crore 46 lakh 75 thousand . As a message that Buddha was born in Nepal, the park will feature a 16 meter tall Buddha statue at the center.
According to park designer Sachin Maharjan, there will be a water fountain at the periphery of the park that will drown out the noises from outside for people in the park. He said that the emphasis in the design of the park is to create a space that is calm and serene.
