Salyan, 9 October 2015: Three passenger buses have been looted at Swikot VDC, Salyan district at midnight yesterday. A group of looters terrorised the passengers, brandishing pistol, Khukuri, and sticks and looted cash worth Rs 2 million and 52 mobile phones, according to Bhim Bahadur Khadka, Assistant Sub Inspector of Police at the Temporary Police Post, Neta.

The buses (Na 4 Kha 597, Na 4 Kha 1317 and Na 4 Kha 8386) were traveling to Chaurjahari in Rukum from Nepalgunj. The looters have attacked a passenger, Suklal Gharti from Swikot-5 who tried to retaliate them. Injured Gharti is receiving treatment at the Mission Hospital at Chaurjahari in Rukum. A joint team of police from the Area Police Office, Ragechaur, Sallibazar and Neta has been mobilized to search the looters, according to the District Police Office, Salyan.
Furthermore, a team of police led by police inspector Binod Khadka of the District Police Office, Salyan has been sent to the spot where the incident took place, for further investigation. Â Source RSS
