Butwal, February 18, 2018: The District Football Association Rupandehi is set to organize the twentieth iteration of Tilottama Football Gold Cup from March 8 to March 17, 2018, at ANFA Technical Centre, Butwal- 11, Devinagar.
A total of thirteen A divisions clubs including nine Nepali, two Indian and one Bhutanese professional clubs will be taking part in the tournament. According to Bhupendra Bahadur Kshetry, the Vice- Chairperson of the association, the winning cash prize has been increased from Nrs 555,555 to 777,777.
Dirgha Bahadur KC, the Chairperson of District Football Association shared that the winner of the tournament will be awarded Martyr Gold Medal and a cash prize of Rs 777,777 whereas the first runner-up will bag NRs 444,444. Furthermore, the best defender, best goalkeeper, best mid-fielder, best forward and best coach will each receive Rs 21,111.
Previously in 2017, Sankata Club had defeated Nepal Army to bag the title of the nineteenth edition of Tilotamma Gold Cup.
