Kathmandu, 12 October 2105: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the time for using twines to cross the rivers is over. The Prime Minister made such statement after taking his government’s first decision to replace the entire twines with the suspension bridges in the country.
Talking to journalists in course of assuming his office in Singhadurbar after taking oath of office and secrecy, PM Oli said that a total of 350 twines of the remote areas in the country would be replaced with the suspension bridges within two years aiming to bring an end to the vulnerable situation that people face while crossing the rivers.
“The twines would be replaced with the suspension bridges within two years,” the PM said.
PM Oli said, “We have entered into a new era and there is no relevance of twines.” All the twines would be replaced with the suspension bridges within two years. For the purpose, Rs 3.25 billion is expected to cost.
PM Oli assured to head the nation with total new visions with administrative reforms of the National Vigilance Centre and other bodies as well. Similarly, Prime Minister Oli promised to maintain peace, good-governance and law of order in the nation. He added that all kinds of inequality and discrimination would be ended.
Reaffirming his commitment to expedite reconstruction in the aftermath of the April 25 earthquake, Oli said that a master plan for the safe settlement would be devised and necessary changes will be introduced for the well-management of the urban development.
PM Oli assured that he will be effortful to modernize the economy of the country as well as sectors like agriculture, water resources, education, health, industries, trade and services among others.
Furthermore, the 38th PM of the country said that works boosting economy of the country will be expedited on a war footing. “I will not let down the public and deceive their hope, expectation and belief,” reaffirmed Oli.
Oli also assured of easing off the supply of essential goods as the earliest.
He clarified that now there remained no constitutional and legal complexities as the disgruntled parliamentarians who walked out of the parliament had already taken part in the parliamentary process on Sunday. He also assured that agitating political parties would be brought on board and their demands would be met through dialogue and discussion.
