Myagdi, Nov 16,2014: Tourists have started using a new trekking route to reach the Dhaulagiri base camp via Mudi VDC of Myagdi district.
The new route leads to the base camp through Piple, Mauwaphant, Dagnam, Chimkhola, Chourkhani, Malkbang VDCs from Beni.
Movement of tourists has now increased in the new route. Many tourists reach the base camp to climb the Dhaulagiri Himalaya.
The Lama Excursion Trekking Agency, Kathmandu, invented the new route and brought into operation one year ago after road network was extended up to the area.
Karna Khatri of Darmija said it has been expected that there would be publicity of tourism destination, which are under the shadow for lack of publicity, and economic progress as tourists have started using the new trekking route to reach the base camp.
