Moscow, April 17, 2015:Â Moscow notified that the presence of foreign military personnel could undermine the situation in Ukraine on Friday.
According to President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, “The participation of instructors and experts from third countries on Ukrainian territory, of course, does not help to resolve the conflict.”
He also added, “On the contrary, it can seriously destabilise the situation.”
Nearly 300 US paratroopers reached in Western Ukraine this week to train three battalions of the National Guard, part of Kiev’s forces fighting the pro-Russian revolution over the next six months in the east.
The battle in Ukraine has erupted for over a year killing more than 6,000 people in Eastern Ukraine’s Donetsk and Lugansk provinces. Western countries blame Moscow of supporting the separatists but Putin says he has no soldiers in Ukraine.
