Katmandu, 16 May, 2015 : All road networks that were disrupted after the massive earthquake in the country now have come into operation except from Barpak to Laprak in Gorkha district as said by The Department of Roads.

As per the Department, the vehicular movement resumed from friday in the affected districts.

The Department said that after the May 12 aftershock, landslides along the highways in Sindhupalchowk, Dolakha and Rasuwa districts had caused disruption in vehicular movement though the road blockade that was caused from the April 25 devastating earthquake.

“Efforts are in progress to clear the blockade along the Barpak-Laprak section as well”, said the Deputy Director General at the department Umesh Jha.

Likewise, Director General at the Department Madhav Kumar Karki said “Motorable bridges were unaffected from the May 12 earthquake.” However, he said that additional information on this issue could be shared only after the detailed study from technicians.
